Attending Capella meant a welcome break from my work life. My two years (which were originally only supposed to be one) gave me the opportunity to fully immerse myself in the best thing I know, textiles, while also exploring my artistic expression.
After a cappella…
Have I continued to work as a textile teacher at the same time as I study at the university to get a teacher's license. I have been able to take some parts of the university courses for credit thanks to having studied at textile Capellagården before - hooray! I've also started streaming when I'm crafting and that way I've made friends all over the world. The craft unites us all.
My advice to future textile students?
Have fun and take time to warm up. Do what feels fun. There is so much knowledge at Capella both among the teachers and the students. If you want to learn something specific that is not on the schedule - just do it! Ask around. Hang out in the other workshops. Knowledge blossoms from exploration.
