Building maintenance – Window renovation and traditional paint types

29 June – 12 July 2025

Course leaders: Finn Milton, Kristin Jönson Lenkel and Victoria Brännström

Welcome to inspiring and educational summer course weeks in building maintenance! During the first week of the course, Finn supervises and we then go through the basic steps in window renovation in order to be able to take care of our existing windows in a careful and traditional way. We will work practically with windows from Capellagården.

During the second week of the course, when Kristin and Victoria supervise, we explore and work with traditional color types. You will have the opportunity to try making and using different historical paints that have been used to decorate, preserve and care for buildings throughout the ages. During the course, you will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience that you can take with you in your own painting craft. The course is suitable both for beginners and for those who have basic experience in painting but want to deepen their knowledge of traditional techniques and color types. A week filled with pigments, crafts, history and color!

Course fee

The course fee is SEK 7,900

If Capellagården has to cancel the course, you always have the right to get back the course fee you have paid. If you need to withdraw your offer due to obstacles or illness, a refund will be made with 50% of the course fee.

Please note that board and lodging are not included in the course fee, but are booked and paid for separately after admission. Material costs for individual works may be added and paid on site.
