Capellagården's palette – Watercolor, the playful color, 26–28 April 2024
A warm welcome to Capellagården on a course in watercolor painting!
During the weekend, we will playfully explore the possibilities of the watercolor technique. Based on Capellagården's beautiful surroundings and color palette, we investigate and develop our painting and our knowledge of color. There are no performance requirements here, the starting point is curiosity and being present in the creation. We will alternate experimental moments where we explore the possibilities of watercolor pigments with exercises in image composition. You will have the opportunity to work with your own creation in focus. The goal is for you to be challenged at exactly the level you are at. Feel free to bring your own materials, such as a basic set of watercolor paints and the brushes you have. A certain amount of supplementary material will also be available for purchase during the course. A basic set of materials will also be available to borrow.
Course times:
Friday April 26, 18.00–21.00
Arrival, collection and start-up.
Dinner (19.00).
Saturday April 27, 10 a.m.–4 p.m
Review and own work.
Coffee, lunch and dinner.
Sunday April 28, 10 a.m.–2 p.m
Own work as well as shared review and cleaning.

Award:
The price for the course including lunch, dinners and coffee is SEK 3300 incl. VAT. Please advise if there are any allergies to consider. You need to arrange your own accommodation. Registration:
We apply continuous admission. When a course has enough applicants to fill course and reserve places, we close the possibility to apply for the course. The selection for the course is based on your motivation in the application and the desire to have a spread in the group. We will provide feedback on an ongoing basis. That is, the time it takes to receive notification can vary. Notification is sent via email. Upon admission, information is given about payment and confirmation of course place. In case of non-payment, we offer the course place to the next person in line. You who apply must be 18 years old. If you need to withdraw your offer due to obstacles or illness, a refund will be made with 50% of the course fee.
Material:
Feel free to bring your own materials, such as a basic set of watercolor paints and the brushes you have. A certain amount of supplementary material, different paper qualities and color will also be available for purchase during the course. A basic set of materials will also be available to borrow.

About the course leader:
Malin Signahl works as an artist and designer. She works repeatedly in watercolour, both in her own image creation and in pattern design for wallpaper and textiles. She herself is educated at Capellagården and HDK. - "I like the challenges and opportunities that can be found in the watercolor technique. It is a technique that is both fast and slow and that constantly arouses my curiosity," says Malin. Malin has extensive experience in teaching and holds recurring courses and workshops.
