Ceramics in the garden

July 13 – July 19, 2025

Course leader: Maria Zetterstrand

With Capellagården's beautiful garden as a starting point, we create with clay. The clay is unique in that it is soft, malleable, tactile and can adopt different structures, both organic and symmetrical. The focus will be a creative exploration of the garden and what we can add to it and how it can inspire us to create. We will stay in the pottery workshop but also in the garden.

The course is for you who have previously worked with clay and feel that you have a grasp of basic techniques. We will not burn. Above all, we immerse ourselves in the possibilities, expression and process of clay. Most of the course will be practical, but there will also be some theoretical elements. See the course as an opportunity to create in total presence with clay based on the garden's rooms, vegetation and inhabitants.

Course fee

The course fee is SEK 5,500

If Capellagården has to cancel the course, you always have the right to get back the course fee you have paid. If you need to withdraw your offer due to obstacles or illness, a refund will be made with 50% of the course fee.

Please note that board and lodging are not included in the course fee, but are booked and paid for separately after admission. Material costs for individual works may be added and paid on site.
