Indigo and shibori patterns, April 26-28, 2024
A warm welcome to an intensive and inspiring short course with indigo and shibori patterns. We will jointly put indigo baths according to the 123 method with natural indigo pigment. Along with indigo dyeing, we work with different shibori techniques, with the main focus on different methods of creating patterns with stitches. You can try to make different samples and dye a larger material. We combine indigo with other dye plants that contain tannins in combination with iron to create a color scale from blue to brown and grey/black. And we will work on over-dyeing to create beautiful combinations and patterns.
The course is aimed both at beginners and at those who have prior knowledge of dyeing.
