Carve with knife and axe
Course leaders: Moa Brännström and Hannes Dalroth
Welcome to a week's craft with knife and axe! During the course, we will dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly to wood and tools. Among other things, we learn basic ax technique for safe processing of wood, the most common carving grips, what you should consider when working in fresh wood, and an introduction to how to keep your tools sharp. We start the course together and work step by step. Further on, you will receive instructions on how to carve something that you have been wanting for a long time. A perfect course for those of you who want to get away from the screen, slim down on plastic among your kitchen utensils or just give yourself an opportunity to give your full focus to a knife and a piece of wood for a week! You don't need a complete workshop to be able to create in wood, but you can go a long way with a few tools and a little knowledge.
